Last week there was a memorial as well as a special screening of two of Dan O'Bannon's films at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. It was time to say goodbye to Dan, who died in December at the age of 63, and hello to some friends both old and new. Among them: Dan's son Adam and two classmates from USC Cinema (who I just came to learn served as my body doubles in Dark Star long ago), Bennett Tramer and Nick Castle.
